She was aloof almost to the point of being cold. Her apathy surprised even her. She was on fire when they met, but as usual, her excitement waned to mild disregard and, finally, sunk to absolute negligence.
For months, she went through the motions in her relationship, until, finally, offended at her inattention, he decided he’d had enough.
Exasperated with her detachment and disdain, he reached out to her and, with searching eyes, begged for an explanation.
She had none. She loved him. She was just tired of having to try so hard. She was tired of the angles being off, and the drill battery dying…
Huh?
O.K. By her, I mean me…(Yup, that’s what I look like in the morning, BTW)
And by him…I mean my most recent Frankenstien project that I let lie in the garage…making my entire family, including the dog, walk over it and around it for, like, ummm…three months…
