There is nothing so exciting like the anticipation of an upcoming baby.
All the stress and uncertainty aside, feeling that new little life punch the stew out of your guts is really probably one of the most life-affirming, beautiful, extraoridnary expereineces any woman can have!
And I’m so blessed to be done with it. I mean, two natural childbirths are enough for this bold girl.
But I have some friends that are expecting. 4 of them, actually!
And to celebrate the upcoming arrivals, I’m throwing a Virtual Baby Shower with some awesome bloggers!
My project is awesome, yo.
It’s a Baby Shower Memory Box that began with a basic wooden box that I found at my local crafts store.
Next, I stenciled on the primary color, blue bird by Deco Art.
Then, after allowing it to dry, I staggered the lettering for the word, “keeps”, and stenciled again in apple green.
That gave the lettering a little added 3-dimensional touch. I’m so happy I did that part! Otherwise, it would have looked a little Flat Stanley, iykwim.
Add a pop of color to the inside for that BOLD factor!
For the Shower
Print off this fun printable card and hand one to each guest.
On the back, they can write up the hot news from that year or something notable about their parents or the price of coffee or gas!
Something that will share what life was like the year they were born.
Then when they graduate or get married, they’ll have a fun keepsake to look over and know how much they were loved even before they saw the light of day!
The printable is available in my shop, or you can get it for free by subscribing by email. Just pop your email down in the box below and you’ll receive a coupon code for 100% discount in your final welcome email.
So here’s to all the sweet new little ones just waiting to make their arrival!
I’ll never forget what it felt like.
Eternally life-changing, for sure!
