Fear is a paralyzing, life-sucking joy-stealer.
It keeps you looking back and dwelling on the past, which only demobilizes and frustrates.
The only way to move forward, to grow, to bloom is to trust your gut…to reach down in your soul and find the stout-heartedness to believe in yourself and your dreams.
It’s not a matter of learning from your mistakes, but embracing them for who they have made you.
Losing the fear of being wrong
is like breaking the shackles from an innocent prisoner and setting her free to return home to her loved ones and her life yet unlived.
This is the life I seek, and the life I hope you will choose to pursue.
A life that marches to a different beat…
A life that sings a brand new song…
A life that travels that Road Less Traveled…
A life that moves and breathes and hopes and dreams and reaches out to touch the brilliant stars.
And so, as we seek to be brave…to be strong…to be courageous…let us fashion “dikes of courage to hold back the floods of fear” just as Martin Luther King, Jr proclaimed.
But it’s burdensome, this building of the dikes….alone.
How much lighter, though, when done with kindred-spirits!
Will you join me?
