I feel terribly sorry for my porch. I do great at the beginning of Spring, but by Summer’s end it’s a wasteland.
Fortunately, The Home Depot and Newell Rubbermaid® Roughneck™ came to it’s rescue just in time for the brisk autumnal season!
While I was shopping, I grabbed the 32 gallon rolling Roughneck™ and some purple Asters and Pansies.
I try not to go overboard with flowers because they are generally awaiting their doom when I get ahold of them.
But I love them, and I have to have some. Pansies are just my favorite to plant in the fall, and I was jumping for joy to see them displayed in plenty on the shelves at The Home Depot!
(The shopping trip was by far the best part.)
So, this is how the story usually goes when it comes to yard work: We get out there and weed and weed and throw everything from the flower beds onto the grass, porch and walkways.
And there the mess stayed for days upon days. But no more. With the Roughneck™, cleaning up was so much better. Pull out the weeds and toss them in the bin! No massive clean up at the end.
Weeding isn’t my thing, so I hired some help. Brendan’s saving up for a video game and jumped at the chance to dig in the dirt a bit.
He loved having the Roughneck™ and made a big game out of it.
The Roughneck™ is great because it has the LinerLock™ bag cinch to prevent the bag from falling in when you are shooting baskets doing yard work.
I actually used it to hold an extra bag so I would have one right there if I needed it.
It has an over-sized, fixed handle for easy support as well as inline skate wheels with a wide wheel base for stability and smooth rolling. The 32 Gallon Roughneck™ is really light and easy to handle. I was seriously impressed.
Now, what did I really want to do with this rolling delight of the Maid of Rubber? I wanted to go to the party store and buy 32 gallons worth of helium balloons and transport them in the Roughneck™ and let them loose in my new office. Alas, I couldn’t get the store on the phone to see if they had what I wanted, so fate determined a porch refresh was necessary. It’s all good. My wasteland is no longer a wasteland, and my neighbors are much happier with me, I’m sure!
How could they not be happy with these beautiful blooms from The Home Depot?
And I’m hiring my helper to make sure they get the love and attention they need to survive.
Now, the deer may be another story, but I’ve got some ideas on how to handle that problem as well.
Do you have a Rubbermaid® Roughneck™? What do you use it for?
I still see some shiny balloons in my future!
