Well hello there! Welcome back to the redefining Bold podcast. You're listening to episode number 34 and I'm your host Gwen Whitfield from theboldabode.com, where I help warm-hearted women take small steps toward positive lasting change!

You guys, today I am in such a different place than I was a week ago. If you haven't listen to episode 33, pastas and go back to that short episode and you'll be up to date.

Today as I was trying a new yoga class from yoga with Cassandra, it was such a good experience I just had to share this with you. I'll be sure to link this yoga class in the show notes so you can try it out. I would say it's probably one of the top five yoga classes that I've ever taken, and I've been practicing yoga on and off for about 25 years.

Before we get to the mantra, let me tell you about this class, or what Kassandra says about it..

She says:

This class is all about the third yama of asteya/non-stealing. Let's explore this concept through a meditation on the 5 senses as a way to stay anchored in the present moment. (Non-stealing from this moment) We will move into a heart opening flow with some backbends, chest openers and shoulder stretches, also using padma (lotus) mudra to connect to the heart.

I haven’t really studied the yamas and I’ve never heard of asteya, but it was such a peaceful experience. I’ll link to an article about the yamas in the show notes so you can see what they are. There are 5, which are all beautiful philosophies and ways of living. They are actually these: non-violence, non-greed, truthfulness, moderation of the senses and non-stealing, which is Asteya.

And in this particular Class, Kassandra shares a mantra, one that I have used but not quite in this way and not with these exact words. But there was something really powerful about this particular class in combination with this particular mantra. It was so powerful for me that I've decided that this will be our mantra for March.

So I want you to stop for a moment, if you're driving keep your eyes open, keep your eyes open, but if you're at home if you're cleaning, or doing some other task, take a moment and sit. Close your eyes and focusing on your breath. Now with me take a deep breath in deep breath out.

I want you to repeat after me:

I am enough.
I have enough.
There is enough for everyone including me.

Deep breath in, deep breath out.

I am enough.
I have enough.
There is enough for everyone including me.

Deep breath in, deep breath out.

I am enough.
I have enough.
There is enough for everyone including me.

Deep breath in, deep breath out.

You can open your eyes. I think this mantra hit me so deeply, because I've been dealing with some Enneagram nine stuff. As an Enneagram nine I often feel invisible, and though I want to be seen, I also don't want to be seen.

I remember the saying as I was growing up, don't get too big for your britches. And I've always held that very closely, I don't want to appear as if I'm seeking attention, or I think too highly of myself. And so I've been telling myself this week it's OK to be seen. And it's OK to want to be seen.

So I think that this idea of
I am enough.
I have enough.
There is enough for everyone including me, really fits together for me. That there is enough for everybody, even me. And it’s ok that I am here, sharing what I’ve learned and what I’m learning.

Because I’m such a different person now and if my experience can help even one person, that gives my life, and my walk true purpose. And it’s ok to need your life to have purpose and to give purpose to your life. It’s ok to seek out that purpose and be confident in that purpose.

There is enough for me and for you both. Because what we really, truly desire, (though we fill out our lives with striving for success and having more things and doing more and more….) what we all, in the end are looking for is simply peace.

And peace is abundant and unending. Peace is uncontainable and incalculable.

Peace is available to each and every one of us. Whether you are wealthy or in poverty, whether you are desperately sick, unbelievably healthy.

It is a never-ending, freely flowing fountain.

So, this month, all of March, repeat this mantra with me.

I am enough.
I have enough.
There is enough for everyone including me

I have a gift for you too, just pop over to the show notes and you can grab a pdf printable of this mantra to print and hang as a reminder of our Mantra for March.

And go check out this amazing yoga class from Kassandra. It is truly heart opening!

Thanks so much for listening and I’ll catch you in the next episode.
