Go ahead. Bust it. And love it.

So, Be Awesome.
I wrote that post in such a hurry. I had so much else in it, and for the sake of keepin’ it short and sweet deleted a long diatribe that I shall now launch into.
Friends don’t mind diatribes, right?
So, here goes. In this diatribe, I talked all about how I’ve learned that it’s ok…no, it’s totally fine…NO, it’s, like, so unbelievably, irrefutably, indubitably ROCKIN’ to try new stuff…
To try and try and try…
And fall flat on yo’ face, if that happens to be the case.
graceful bust it once in a while…
{But, you’ll notice, as I so pointedly point out to you, that this lovely creature is actually laughing at herself. So the rhetorical question of this here diatribe is that when we fall or fail or come up short, can we find the where-with-all to see the funny in it? To take it all in stride and have a big ole Hardy-har-har at ourselves?}
But, you know what?
That’s not enough…it’s not enough. You’ve got to embrace those flat-on-yo’-face-fallins’. THAT’S the essential part. You’ve got to wrap that failure up in you tremblin’ arms and squeeze it so tight that you feel it become all meshed up in your inner you.
Love that failure, cuz that failure is going to bring you just that much closer to doing something REALLY GREAT. One step closer to bringing you to that special place…that special place that we like to call success, which is really just experience meeting opportunity.
A beautiful marriage between wisdom and persistence.
So, that’s what I learned in 2011. Finally. At least I learned it before I turned 40. {by the skin of my teef…} So if yur youngish…please KNOW that it’s really good to embrace failure cuz that’s what leads to all that lernin’ stuff which leads to experience…which leads, eventually, to makin’ things work…and things workin’, will, like, so totally lead to being AWESOME…
And if you just start with something teensy, it won’t feel like yur jumpin off a cliff. Know what I mean?
But maybe, what we really need to do is get ta that dern edge and jump. Jump for all it’s worth…
Oh, and….try and fail, but don’t be stupid, yo!
Omg. That last picture is amazing.
if you want it, you got it. if you want it, baby, you got it. just bust a move.
I love reading posts like these; it's like having a best friend tell you the meaning of life 😉 Failure isn't something to avoid because it's all a part of creativity and failures show us what not to do next time…and if we're smart, we'll keep trying! Happy 2012 Gwen!
