Have you ever finished chopping a zillion cloves of garlic for your favorite soup, wash your hands and then give them a sniff?

Yeah.  It doesn’t wash off all the way, does it?

When you go to wash your hands, wet them.

Then sprinkle some baking soda on them

Rinse and then sniff.

Better?

Yeah.  Way better!

Now you don’t have to greet your dinner guests with that sneaky hand shake to hair comb maneuver.

I hear you can use a lemon, too, but baking soda is so much less expensive, I think it’s a way better option, don’t you?

  1. The best way I have ever found to take smells from my hands (especially those from onion, garlic, and fish) is by washing my hands with a stainless steel spoon. I always use cold water and I just rub the bowl of the spoon over my palms and lace my fingers back and forth with the spoon. It takes seconds, makes no mess, and works phenomenally. Just thought I’d pass it along in case you hadn’t heard of it before. Love your blog. 🙂
