When I met my husband, Morgan, I was not looking for ANYONE to be mine.
In fact, I was soooo over boys. I was sick and tired of the dating scene and just needed some time to myself.
I wouldn’t even hardly talk to him for, like, six weeks. I had heard through the grape-vine that he was interested, but I totally kept him at arms length.
I guess he like the chase, because he didn’t give up for one click of the clock.
The more I heard about him, the more intrigued I became. But I still wasn’t ready to stick my toe back in the dating water.
So I just decided that it was OK to talk to him.
That, my dear Bold Ones, was the beginning of the end or the beginning, really. He asked me out, and I said yes.
We went to Cedar’s and had steaming catfish for dinner. Then we sat on his porch balcony in the warm, Mississippi air and talked for hours.
I knew then as I watched his eyes dance in the moonlight that it was totally over, and I was going to marry this man.
We never broke up. By Valentine’s Day, we were engaged and married just over a year after we met. I guess it’s true. When you stop trying so hard… it just happens.
So, this Be Mine hand-lettered Printable Valentine’s Card is really for him…even though I know I don’t even have to ask him to be mine. He just is and will always be.
How to Watercolor this Be Mine Hand Lettered Printable Valentine’s Card
I left the artwork black and white because I wanted to try out my new Watercolor Pencils. Here’s my Amazon Affiliate link for easy online ordering.
All you have to do is color in the white areas…
Then wash over it with a wet paintbrush. Just a teensy bit of water works. I found I even had to blot the paint brush a time or two.
I just love how it turned out. This hand-lettering thing is here to stay!
