I’ve been dying to work in Brendan’s room for ages.  It’s pretty much just a mound of Pokemon cards and Minecraft T-shirts, and who else knows what! He needs new furniture all around, and I have been waiting for the perfect chance to do something.
So when I had the opporutnity to pick a piece of Sauder furniture for this post, I jumped at it!  Here is what Brendan’s side table was before.
Way too feminine and piled high with junk! And that poor little lamp.  That was Morgan’s {dad} when he was a baby, and it’s sad little lamp shade doesn’t fit at all.
Time for an update, right? Â Totally.
With his room in mind, I picked the Soft Modern Side Table which has great modern lines, and the yellow metal is funky and so cool.
It was super easy to put together, and let me tell you… if you ever order from them, rest assured it will be safe.  This table was so well packed!
It came with plenty of screws, and an Allen wrench to help with the assembly.
All I had to do was attach the legs together. Â It took about 5 minutes total. My kind of furniture assembly.
Here it is in Brendan’s room.
I shopped the house and grabbed this lamp from our bedroom. Â It’s totally perfect!
Then, I added back his clock and one of his little pottery pieces.
He loves kitties, so I thought he’d be happy to see this on his new side table.
I kept things very minimal to go with the contemporary feel of this piece. Â Not that it will stay like this for long, if you know what I mean.
He didn’t have a drawer before, so this is a big upgrade. Â I put his books in there for now.
I’m so happy with this little addition to his room. Â Sauder is so affordable. This little table is priced at below $100. Can you believe that?
And I was pleasantly surprised they had such great contemporary furniture, which is how I’m starting to lean with my own design and home decor.  I can’t wait to finish out Brendan’s room.  I have big ideas all because of this awesome Soft Modern Side Table.
Thanks so much Sauder!
