Don’t you just hate it when St. Paddy’s Day rolls around and your forgeddaboudit?
I allllways do.
Al-freaking-ways.
But not this year. There will be no pinching going on.
I will be a pinch free zone!
And this Super Cute Shamrock Charm is going to be my lucky little trinket.
How to Make a Super Cute Shamrock Charm
What you’ll need:
- Some beading wire
- Some green glass seed beads
- Some black jewelry string
First, cut a long-ish piece of wire. {Don’t you love how incredibly specific I am.}
Then thread about 28 seed beads on the wire and wrap the ends together to make a circle.
To get the shamrock shape, just push the end of the circle towards the center, and you’ll get a nice flat-ish shape like I did.
If you want to make more of a heart-shape, you’ll need to add more beads. {Trust me, I tried and it wasn’t going there with 28}
Repeat for the remaining leaves, and wrap the end around the middle to secure the beads.
Once you have all four leaves beaded, wrap the wire around the center a few times for added stability.
To cover the gross middle, I took a bit of wire and made a nice swirly-gig out of it and hot glued it on.
The glue didn’t stay, so I made a new one but secured the wire to the center of the shamrock first…duh.
Then take your black string and cut it to the desired length.
I chose a long sting this time, but I think it would be cute as a choker, too!
Here she is hanging out with my other necklaces…
And here I am safe and secure in the knowledge that I will be a pinch-free zone this year!
So how about it…Do you remember to wear green on St. Patricks Day?
Pin me for later, says the super cute shamrock charm…
