Is there a “right” way to store natural peanut butter? Well, maybe I won’t totally draw the line in the sand on that one, but I have found a “better” way.
A way that makes it oh-so-much-easier to stir it.
First off, you should be eating all natural peanut butter. It’s so good. Not to mention it not having all the added sugar! There are plenty of places to get sugar if you really want it.
Some Nutella Stuffed Marshmallows, perhaps?
Second, when you bring home the All Natural Peanut Butter, don’t just stick it in the cabinet.
Stick it in the cabinet… UPSIDE DOWN!
YES! But why?
Because after sitting on the shelf in the store, all the natural oils rise to the top and you’re in a pickle when you open it up. It’s hard to stir and incorporate all that yummy oil back in.
But if you turn it upside down and let it sit for a day or two, the oil will make its way back into the peanut butter and it’s SO much easier to stir!
You can still see a bit of oil lying on top, but it’s nothing compared to what is there if you just open it up when you bring it home.
You can actually buy a peanut butter mixer. I just don’t have one that fits this store brand jar. If you want to get one, just double-check what size you need! Here’s my Amazon affiliate link for easy online ordering:
But now that I’ve figured out this little trick, I don’t really need one. Once it’s all mixed together nicely, pop it in the refrigerator and it will stay that way.
