Do you need some new Fun Christmas Traditions for your family?
Sometimes we need to jazz up our holiday traditions. It’s OK!
I know we had a couple growing up that I’ve passed on to my kids, but I kind of feel like we need to breathe some fresh air into our holiday season this year.
Maybe because our boys are both out of the house, so I want to make things a little extra special now for when they come home to visit.
My word, I miss them so much and can’t wait to see them.
10 Creative and fun christmas traditions
1
CHRISTMAS eve pajamas
We actually do this every single year and it’s one of my favorite things to do.
I start shopping early for fun, holiday P.J.s and can usually find some great ones at Belk!
2
Holiday Karaoke
We just go the Apple TV that hooks up to Apple Music and it’s AWESOME.
There are so many songs you can sing and I can’t wait to do this this year.
You just need an Apple TV, (4K, 3rd generation) a subscription to Apple Music and a couple of Bluetooth Mics.f
5
The Christmas Pickle Tradition
The fun tradition involves hiding a pickle-shaped ornament somewhere in the branches of the Christmas tree on Christmas Eve.
The next morning, everyone searches for the hidden pickle, and the one who finds it is often awarded a special gift or given the honor of opening the first present!
6
CHristmas Elf Hats
For Christmas Eve, just grab this free elf hat printable and make everyone a fun Christmas Hat to wear for Christmas Day Dinner!
7
Silly Gift Exchange
If you don’t want to do pjs for Christmas Eve, having a silly gift exchange would be perfect.
You could assign names and have everyone go out and buy a silly or fun gift for the person they draw!
That would create memories to last a lifetime!
8
Hidden Treat Suprises
If you have family visiting, (like your college age sons), buy some fun treats and hide them around in unexpected places for them to find.
You could put some holiday candy in their bathroom kit or hide some in their favorite coffee mug.
Hopefully they’ll see it before pouring coffee in their cup!
9
Throw a virtual party
If you have family across the country that you can’t see, plan a zoom party so everyone can catch up.
You can send each other presents and open them together!
10
Go to breakfast on Christmas Morning
One of the best traditions we’ve implemented a few years ago, was going out to breakfast on Christmas morning.
We just wear our Christmas Pjs and go to Waffle House. They family LOVES it, I don’t have to cook breafast or do any breakfast dishes.
Just be sure to leave a MASSIVE tip for your server! They have to work anyway, why not bless them a little extra on this special day???
There is absolutely nothing like Family time during the holidays.
Things can get so hectic, so if you have just one or two fun things to do, it can really make the time together so special.
