These Bold fabrics that you see?  She sent them to me… among many other things that I’m sure will pop up here as we go along…

And Vintage Inspired Aprons {like Pallet Projects} tickle my fancy…

Turn under edges

And they are easy to make… just cut out a rectangle of fabric and finish the sides edges…

Make two kick pleats

Make a couple of kick pleats…

Reverse side of Kick Pleat

Add a waistband made from two patterns…

Sew on Waistband

Press a hem on each side and fold over with right sides together…

Edges of the Waistband

Then make a seam on the diagonal…

Sew a seam on the diagonal

Turn and press…

Turn waistband

Then fold over the waistband, wrong sides together… but don’t forget to turn the edge of the backside…

Match up the edges of the waistband and stitch closed…

Fold waistband

Add a bottom ruffle…

Zig Zag the Seams

Fall in love…

Ruffle

Press… with steam…

  4. I love the fabric! It’s so bright and cheerful! Something we’ve been lacking the last couple of days here in upstate NY. I’ll take rain over snow any day, though! 🙂
