For years, we’ve been buying that plink stuff to freshen our disposal, and I finally thought with my actual brain for just half a second.
Surely, I could make something at home that would do the same thing… and since ice is “supposed” to sharpen your disposal blades, maybe I could do one even better.
- Vinegar
- Water
- Lemon Juice
Mix one cup of water with one cup of vinegar and add 1/4 of lemon juice.
Then put in an ice tray and freeze.
So, totally and completely simple.
To use, just run a light stream of cold water…
Drop 2 or three cubes in your disposal and turn it on.
Once the ice is completely ground up, run a stong stream of water to clean it all out.
No more chemically plink. That’s a good thing!
