Where I Blog {and random thoughts from my brain}

I realized that when I was writing my post about the DIY Pendant Light, that I really haven’t shown you guys much of where I actually blog.
It’s a very simple space in my Office/Craft Room. Yes, I’m so lucky to have my very own room to work in. I’m getting closer to being done with it, too. I did the Faux Board and Batten last March, and the Geometric Walls this summer. I made a fun tissue paper tassel banner last week. I have a String Art project and a couple other small things done and ready to write up, but I need to make the curtains and figure out the DIY curtain rods that are rolling around in my brain, but after that, I’ll pretty much be done!
Oh, I forgot about a huge canvas that I bought to make some Pixel Art. It’s on my list.
I’m super happy with the way it’s all turning out. Part of me feels like there is too much furniture in here, but I seem to need it all!
Anyway, this is where I blog. I have a simple white desk from Ikea.
And a few weeks ago, I took a hand-lettering course and as a bonus, she gave me a custom wallpaper with the quote of my choosing. I chose, “Yes. You Can.”
And every time I look at it, I believe it. It makes a huge difference in my day. Blogging can oftentimes be a lonely endeavor. Yes, I have great blogging friends, but they aren’t here to help me do projects and give me in-person advice on what I’m doing and where I’m going with this little space on the interwebs.
I love how much light streams into this room. I need light. It makes me feel lighter.
To the left of my computer, I have my mixer for that podcast that I keep meaning to start. I thought I’d interview bloggers on blogging. What do you think?
I also have a white pencil sharpener from Target. Doesn’t Target just rock? And roll?
I’ve kept my Washi Tape Coke Bottle there, too. It hasn’t been a big hit on the blog, but I just adore it.
And you can see my horde of white, personalized pencils. I’ve DIY’d the glitter portion, which will be here on the blog next week. Just a little bling goes a LONG way.
To the left, I have just a little glass and gold box filled with Washi Tape. Why? It’s Washi Tape.
And it just makes me smile.
And there’s my blue iPhone. I switched to the iPhone from a Galaxy S2 and I love it. I’ll never go back.
Although I think the iPhone 6 is lacking a bit in style and design. I think I’ll keep my little blue phone longer than I otherwise would have, just because I think it has so much more character than the 6. That’s just my personal opinion. Do you love the 6? Or are you an Android lover?
I often wonder what you sit and think as you read this blog. I wish more readers would comment. Comments seem to have gone by the wayside these days.
But I totally understand. I rarely even get a chance to read blogs anymore because I’m so busy writing this one. And when I’m done here, I just want to get off the computer and curl up with my Kindle and binge on trashy Netflix shows.
So, there you have it. Where I blog and some very, very random thoughts.
I hope you have a special place somewhere in your home just for you… even if it’s in the corner of the laundry room under a quilt-tent.
Love to you all and see you later, alligator!
i love your little area! it’s a great happy place. and i agree blogging can sometimes be a lonely endeavor, especially without comments. and this past week i have felt a writing drought- stresses at home suck it out of me and i don’t want to write. isn’t it funny? some people write as therapy… i write best when i am happiest.
i am the same way. When I’m stressed… I want to curl up in a ball and ignore all things online.
Just remember, This too Shall Pass.

I love random thoughts! That’s basically all I am made of up ~ sort of like a crow….I follow the shiny. Your space is so pretty…..and neat….and tidy! My work space is a total mess. I dream of white and gold and girlie but it’s oak….and more oak…..and oak….with a burgundy chair….sort of like a bad lawyer’s office. Thanks for sharing your awesomeness! p.s. I love that DIY Pendant light…I just pinned it the other day but I think I’ll pin it again….just ’cause it’s so dang fabulous.
I love that you were able to create a space that works just for you. At my current house there isn’t any space even in a corner. Maybe I’ll have to rearrange a little
Thank you Lauren! I hope you can!
Nice creative space! And clearly it inspires you. I’m currently organizing my studio for the blog and craft projects as well. I’m gonna snoop around yours and get some inspiration. 🙂
Thank you!
