Make Love Not War Valentines and Printable Tags...Perfect for BOY Valentines!Boys.  What in the world do you do for boys on Valentines Day?

My boys love Warheads… That was the first thing on their Christmas List!

So why  not Warheads for Valentines?

Of course, I had to put my spin on it… peace to all and junk like that.

I’ll be outside later hugging a tree if anyone wants to join me.

But for now, here’s how I made the little pouches.

Making the Valentine Bags

I used plain ole paper bags and cut them into two sections.  First I trimmed off the edge where the little rounded divot is.

Then I cut them into two equal sections.  {mine worked out  if I lined up the edge of the bag first at 6 1/2 inches and then at 2 1/2 inches.}

Next, I ironed my paper “bags”.

Then I stitched along one edge with a decorative stitch.  I have a few of those, so I chose two I liked.

I forgot to iron the bag above. Now you can see why I iron them. Yikes!

Next I stuffed a four warheads in each “bag”.

Then sewed the open end shut.

Confession Time

I’ve ALWAYS wanted to sew some paper.  Melissa just sewed her Valentine Paper Garland. And Carolina sewed this quilt block with paper!

So I must confess, I chose this project because I could finally sew some paper.

I did check to make sure I had extra needles though… It will dull your needle and that totally bites for sewing fabric!

Attaching the Tag

I used my small hole punch and puched two little holes like below.  The angle I used made it easy to attach the tag so it would lie diagonally across the “bag”.

Then I threaded some Pearl Cotton Thread through the holes.  I love this thread so much, I even put in in my logo. 🙂

Then tie on your tag.  {I guess you’ll have to use your imagination b/c I don’t have a photo of my actually tying on the dern tag!!!}

Here’s the Printable.  Just click to view and save or right click to download!
