Sometimes, life is a desert…parched and brittle, and you never even notice it.
And you sit by just watch as it withers…and fades.
And then, one day…
You wake up. You wake up and realize that it doesn’t have to be like this. You don’t have to live in this dull, dry wasteland, void of life and color.
And when you quit trying to find the perfect way to fix it, you realize that it’s Okay. No, it’s more than Okay.
Because when life is cold and grey, it cries out you in it’s desperate state.
And when 2 coats of plain old spray paint aren’t enough to make it shine…
You quit worrying about whether or not it’s okay to try new things…
A BOLD life is about just that… Trying. New. Things.
Metallic Glaze on Concrete planters is fine.
No, it’s FINE, baby.
Even if it wasn’t meant for outside use.
You’re a REBEL.
And you love it…

Pretty pretty! I gots me some plans for my poor pots now. They want to be like Gwen’s!
Why did I not get your comment in my inbox? What’s up with that?
Thank you, my friend…
I have a planter in the garage that wants to be sparkly when it grows up!
Wow I love it! What a difference that glaze makes. All my pots are in need of some bling now. This is fabulous G!
These are beautiful!! I have two just like them and was going to pitch ’em… instead they are going to be emBOLDened. Thanks for sharing another great idea <3 <3 <3
Pretty, pretty! Just watch it for bubbling out in the heat. Of course, you don’t have Texas hellfire heat. I put MS glaze over some terracotta pots that had been painted and they bubbled up and peeled after a few months. They were under cover, too. But again, I have hellfire heat. Not that yours will, just FYI. You’re probably safe up there. 😉 I had a messy patio from it. Boo.
Are you sitting in your swing enjoying your beautiful new creation? Hope you’re feeling better.
I love it…you rebel. Now, when are you coming to my house to bold-ify {is that a word? It is now! See, I can be a rebel too! } my outdoor world!? And I bet the plants will grow better in their new pretty-ified home – just like how our cars run better when they are clean, right? Right!
Gwen I love, love your planter and you have given me some great ideas!! I love to be adventuresome!!
I have a $100 Gift Card Giveaway from Soft Surroundings if you would like to enter!!

Hi Gwen……I love it when one great blogger points me in the direction of another great blogger!!!…..visiting from Karianne’s Thistlewood Farm, I love your pots and your fearlessness!!! I’ll definitely be back!!
To me, “not recommended for _____.” is simply a challenge. Every time I step foot into a Joann Fabrics or Lowes, I do so with the hope of shocking at least one employee into saying, “well, that’s not really what that’s it is used for.” HA! (sadly, they are usually right…but still!)
I love your newly-styled urn. In our last house, there was a huge “Urn Conspiracy” where someone was stealing/smashing urns in town. We didn’t really “fit in” well there – we didn’t even have urns.
Hey they look great. I had a whoops, did a blue and they didn’t look good. Now they are green. I didn’t think about toning down the blue with a metal shade. Maybe a metal color on the green? Hmmmmm…

Hey Gwen! Great looking new site. Been trying to think of something for a spot on my front and back porches. Might give this a try, if I don’t get too lazy in this SE GA heat 😉

Sparkles and tiaras are always a good idea C:
That Poppy deserves some sparkle =) Rock on girl!! It’s like floral highlights 😉
Everytime you say…..Be bold….I hear the Star Trek theme song playing in the background 🙂
Love your urn and your sparkling personality 🙂
