That Good Old Song of Wahoowa,
We’ll sing it o’er and o’er.
It cheers our heart and warms the blood
To hear them shout and roar.
We come from old Virginia,
Where all is bright and gay.
Let’s all join hands and give a yell
For dear old UVa
WAHOOWA, WAHOOWA
UNI-V, VIR-GIN-I-A
HOO-RAH-RAY, HOO-RAH-RAY
RAY! RAY!
U-V-A!
Along the walk to the stadium, we saw a bear…
In the woods…
Only fitting to snap some pictures of my cubs with him…
Of all the things in life, these moments are the most precious. And I cherish them…
P.S. Go Hoos!
P.P.S. If anyone tells you we left before the ultra-exciting end of the game, don’t believe them. They lie…
Oh, alright… We did, but we listened to it on Morgan’s phone walking back to the car, so it still felt as if we were there.
Really…
You guys had such a beautiful day for the game. Two UVA fans were at my house for dinner Saturday night and they were so happy that UVA won.
That bear in the woods is too cute!
It was a beautiful day, Paula! We had sooo much fun!
I love football. We have had season tickets for UK football for 12 years now, but they stink…bad. Ah well, at least we are good at tailgating? Looks like you had a blast!
Tailgating is the best! Forget about the football…it’s the food, fun and family (or friends) that make it so much fun, right?
We usually leave before the game ends too-beat the traffic! I love UVA, I grew up in Virginia Beach and visited a lot-beautiful campus!
Oh, I’m glad i’m not the only one! Isn’t C-ville the most beautiful campus? I love it!
Looks like you had a wonderful time and great weather to boot! We don’t have anything like that around here, I bet just being there was exciting! Thanks for posting what’s it like to go to out and about in your parts.
We did, Heather! It was great to get out of our routine and have some much needed fun!
Beautiful day. I love fly-overs at football games. We started taking our kids to Notre Dame football games when they were very young…it was great fun. They refer to it as brain-washing but what do they know? Hope you have a good week!
That was so amazing! Our boys loved seeing the bomber fly over!
Nah, it’s not brain-washing…it’s showing them the way! Hehehe…
We went to the Alabama/Texas A&M game this weekend. We were pulling for the Tide. It was a heart breaker for our team! I absolutely get into the games! I love the band and the cheerleaders and all the rooooooooolllllll tide roll’s at kick off! My throat was hurting after. We had the whole family. We had a blast…..even with the loss!
Oh, how sad! I’ll take an SEC win anyday…even though I’m a Rebel!
Awesome!! Love that shot of your boys with the bear 🙂
I never understand why people leave before the game is over! Haha. Is it to beat the traffic on the way out? I’m a lifer and like to be the last one to leave (lol). Happy Monday!
Yes, the traffic! It’s terrible! Brendan did as well as I’ve ever seen him do…as long as we kept the snacks coming..haha!
It is unreal how much your cubs look like you and Morgan. Little clones!
I guess my kids were shaken, yours were stirred. 😉
What a great day for a game!
Love the little bear in the woods…
Isn’t it, though? I love it…mine were totally stirred! Hahaha!!!!
Isn’t that bear so sweet?
LOL – we never made it through a game when we had kids. The thought of the long wait in the car afterward made us flee. Love the bear and the song.
Thank you, Helen! It was a fun, fun day. Brendan did really well. I was proud of him…though I did have to switch seats with Morgan for a while b/c he kept pulling on my arm, and that can hurt after a while!
Jealous! We haven’t been to a UGA football game – our alma mater – in FOREV. It means we’ve turned into those old married people who stop doing fun things. Terrifying!
I know! So have we… we’ve lived here for three years, and this is our first one. AND we only went b/c some friends gave us their awesome tickets!
So cool! We don’t have anything like that here in Ottawa C:
Football is not my favorite, but this was a fun day! I was just happy to get out of the house and be with my family!!!
