So, the Dr. Seuss in me wanted to call this post:
Falafels are {not}Awful…
Oh, well…
But seriously… I’ve tried and tried to make real Falafels, and, believe me, dear ones… They are ALWAYS AWFUL.
Like, stink-in-the-stank SKUNKS…
But, Hallelujah.. I found a mix. A mix that has {if you believe the label} nothing bad for me in it…
A-MAZ-ING…
All you have to do is add water and let it sit for 30 minutes to thicken.
Then pan fry… OK. It says to”deep-fry”, but I don’t do that…
I just pan-fry those little golden nuggets of yumminess.
MMMMMmmmmm…..
Laid them on a bed of fresh greens and topped them with some store-bought Tzatziki Dill Sauce.
I ate ‘em up… Morgan ate ‘em up… well, he ate them up so fast, he left the burnt ones for his children…
And then tried to hide the fact by turning them over on their pretty sides…
So, tonight, the boys and I went back to Kroger for some Milk… and we got some more Falafel Mix..
TWO boxes. And we’re going to make them for lunch, when Morgan isn’t here to steal all the fresh, hot, golden nuggets of yumminess away…
Boojah.

Did you notice that the people at Ziyad spell the word ‘falafel’ with an ‘i’ ? Just pondering that…

And no, this is NOT a sponsored post. This is just me finding something awesome to share with you…. My Sweet Bleeps.
But, if you can make awesome home-made Falafels that are not awful… maybe you could teach me…
falafel is not awful,
indeed better than a waffle.
i would eat it with a goat.
and i would eat it on a boat.
i do so love falafel, gwen i been.
Hahaha…
when’s you been, Gwen???
Oh, I do so love the rhymes…
This is the mix I use! Delicious and soooo easy.
Isn’t it, though??? I just had to shout it from the roof-tops… well… the cyber ones anyway!
Anything Fried is goodness! I’ll see if i can find this mix at the store.
Seriously, right? Oh, it’s SOOOOO good!!!
I’m going to be honest and say I had no idea what a falafel was until I read this post. Any chance they taste like a hush puppie?
Hehehe… they do taste like a Greek Hush Puppie! I love them…mmmmm….
Ever since watching that movie She’s All That, where Laney Boggs worked at a Falafel joint have I wanted to try Falafels! 😀
I’m gonna keep my eyes peeled for this mix at our store!
Peel your eyes… they are so good… Greek food is so yums.
Why have I never heard of a Falalalala before?
~Bliss~
You so funny!
And these puppies are so yummy! You must try them.
You know what? I never thought of this before, but my family may actually eat these… I’ll just call them… tasty patties! Yeah! That’ll work!
Hahaha!!! No matter what you call them… they are still awesomeness…
I’ve never attempted to make those but now if I do see that brand I’ll give it a go and let you know how it went! Thanks!
I hope you do… we just LOVE it!
