I don’t know about you, but I was, as a kid… um, well… different.
I was sometimes in my own little world and did my own thing… and I never could quite understand why everyone wasn’t on the same page as me.
And now, as an adult, I realize that I could have capitalized on that quite a bit.
But I had one small issue… I never really believed in myself.
So, I’m hoping I pass this valuable lesson on to my boys… because:
Be Bold, Be Different and Believe in Yourself!
P.S. And I also know, that it’s never too late…
What a great lesson to instill in our children. I think this also helps kids deal with bullying.
I agree, Amanda. And our kids need all the help they can get to protect themselves from bullying! It can be rough out there…
I think it’s hard to get kids to understand that when all is said and done, and they (and their classmates) are all grown up, the whole game changes. The most popular students in school might be the least popular at their jobs, and those who were chosen most likely to succeed might actually live short of those expectations. A crystal ball would certainly help do wonders for kids who doubt themselves – wouldn’t it 🙂
