Peppermint Water: What a deliciously refreshing summer thirst quencher! Ah… the lazy days… the late nights…  the lovely sunshine… the buckets of sweat.

YUCK.

I don’t know about you, but that is one part of summer I’d like to send packing… maybe off on a three-wheeled bus to eastern side of the North Pole.

Alas, the heat is coming, so instead of fighting it, why not be prepared?

And with this delicioius, crisp and refreshing recipe for Peppermint Water, we’ll be the Boy Scouts of the heat waves.

Roll on heat waves, roll on.

This recipe is so super simple.

All you need is some ice water, some clear peppermint extract and a little sweetener.

You can make an entire pitcher at a time, or just a simple glass.

Me?  I make a bucket. 🙂

For my single glass, I just add a few drops of the extract and a half a packet of Stevia.  You could use honey or sugar.  Just experiment with how sweet you want it to be.

I recycled a dropper from one of my old liquid Stevia bottles.  Makes it so much easier to add to the water.

For this glass pitcher, I used 1/2 tsp of the extract.  Just play around with it so it suits you.

The amount you use is really dependant on how strong you like the peppermint to taste.  So experiement with it!

Staying cool never tasted quite so good…
