Stenciled-Wall-StripesSo…

Remember about 11 years ago, when I showed you how to Paint the Perfect Wall Stripes?

Yeah, well… I gave a little sneak peak of what I did, but I never actually showed you my stenciled stripes.

And when I started searching for the photographs, I came up with relatively zilch-oh.

And what I did find, were all from my Pre-Nikon-take-blog-pictures-with-my-cell-phone days.

But no matter… it is what it is, right?

And once we were done with the Perfect Wall Stripes, it looked blah.

I mean, yes… stripes ARE  awesome.

But I had this Covington Allover Stencil {which I won} just sitting there.

And we had a conversation, girl to girl…

And let me tell you… she’s terribly persuasive.

What a huge difference… from dark and scary…

To Oooo-la-la, baby!

I did manage to get that dark teal wall covered with Rain by Sherwin Williams.

And for a while, the red curtains went back up.

But they aren’t there now, baby…

I’ll get to that at some point.

And I pinky-promise, it won’t be another 11 years before I do.

I’ll be honest, stenciling these stripes took some patience, of which I have very little.  But this time, it was totally worth it.

Dontcha think?

  2. Did you need more patience than your stairs? They look like I would need lots of patience for them so I am guessing I will never have cool stair treads or a stenciled wall.
