I have to tell you something… I don’t make a big dealio out of Christmas Dinner over here. We live a LoOoOoOoOng way from family, so we celebrate in our own small way.
So, when it comes to extravagant table settings and junk, well… that just isn’t happenin’. Maybe someday it will, but for now, nopes.
But I did want to have something pretty for the table or the sideboard, actually, and this super-duper quick and easy Christmas centerpiece idea came to me!
All you need is some glitter tulle. ornaments and a tall {or not so tall} clear vase.
- First, stuff your vase with tulle…
- And more tulle…
- And still, yet more tulle!
- Then sort of fold it over and back so you get some cool abstract thing going on like below:
ShoveGently place some ornaments down into the tulle…
- Then, begin to layer the ornaments so you get some nice variation…
- I used different sizes and colors for a random effect, but you could totally go monochromatic and it would be cool, too!
And that’s all! So quick and SOOOOO easy!
And cheap, too. Those ornaments are just dollar store guys and the tulle was 50% from a local craft store.
Not too shabby for a last minute project. Are you cuttin’ it right down to the wire, too?
