Well, I”m sitting here in my analytics looking at the entire year of 2015, and HOLY CRAP. As of writing this post at 6AM on December 31st, I had 6,030,081 pageviews for the year and 3,171,576 real-live-people visited my site.
Compared to 1,283,918 total pageviews in 2014. That’s a 369.66% increase in pageviews.
That BLOWS my mind.
Like I said here, I don’t share those numbers lightly. It’s a little bit like taking off your underclothes and running around the blogworld in all your birthday-suit-glory.
Because, will I be able to sustain that growth percentage? Honestly, I think I’ve levelled off for now, but I’m OK with that. I mean, my word for 2016 is Enough.
Moving on…
A few of my top posts are good, old boys from 2014, but I’m just going to share the best that were published this year. At first it’s going to seem like I just wrote cleaning posts! I wrote a post in 2014, called The All-Natural and Sneaky Way to Freshen a Room, and it did so very well, that I decided to do an entire series of Natural/Family Friendly Home Cleaning and it paid off for sure.
The one thing that I most appreciate and am most grateful for as a result of this series, is that it really boosted my ad revenue and has allowed me to do more actual DIY projects. This year, I’ll be able to afford to do some larger room updates, which is the entire reason I started this blog. But it was a real struggle for 4 years on one income. It feels amazing to be contributing to our family’s financial future!
But let’s get started with the Top Ten List!

How to Keep From Drowning in Pet Hair
Coming in a number 2, How to Keep From Drowning in Pet Hair really struck a cord with you guys! There were a few trolls who acted as if this was post was just the dumbest thing ever (that’s mean people), but the vast majority of people chimed in with a great sense of pet-owner solidarity and shared how they manage their daily, growing fluff balls of pet hair.
Number 1
How to Decorate on a Really Tight Budget
By a HUGE Margin, How to Decorate on a Really Tight Budget is the Number 1 top-viewed post here. I wonder if I will ever be able to write such compelling content again. ha! No really, it’s been so amazing and continues to out perform anything I’ve shared since!
So that’s a wrap of my top ten posts from 2015. My big project for the start of the year is a brand new family room. I can’t wait to share it with you. I just ordered my new sofa sectional this morning! Yay!

Wayfair is where I bought the chairs for the table I just made. They were quality, easy to assemble and stained great. I think the owner will be very pleased.
I know they were beautiful, Dad! I hope you are having a good day and feeling ok!
Love,
