The twenty-eleven cords hanging off the back of my iMac drive me to the edge of the sanity cliff in a broken down, beat-up, crazy car. I always grab the wrong one when I go to plug in my camera. And that’s rather often because I’m a creative blogger who basically photographs 99.9% of my life. {By choice, I know. I’m so totally not complaining.}
I finally got completely fed up and found myself beating my head on my little desk, rattling my already loose marbles and spilling them on the fur-covered floors.
“ENOUGH”, I shrieked, “These cords will get the best of me no longer!”
But just washi tape seemed like a flimsy, self-sabotaging choice.
That’s where the cardstock comes in, riding on his glittery white steed to save the day {and my marbles}.
How to Make Washi Tape Cardstock Cord Labels
Take your scissors or cutting board and cut a few 1″ by 3.5″ cardstock strips.
Then tape them across the middle with your favorite color Washi Tape.
Fold your strip in half and clip a little flag shape on the end.
Now you can label them. We’re almost to the land of the sane!
I tried a few different markers to see which would work best.
My Prismacolor stayed on without smudging. <=Amazon affiliate link for easy online ordering. 🙂
To attach the labels, just fold them around the corresponding cord and hot glue the ends of the label together.
So this is what it feels like to be of sound and steady mind. Who knew?
