I don’t have any kind of awesome reveal or tutorial today, but I did just want to pop in and let you know how things were going in the foyer.
If you follow me on Instagram or are a member of my Bold Crew {who gets my weekly email update}, then you’ve seen a sneak peak into what’s going on.
Here’s the jist. Â I got sick of the Pear Green in the foyer. Â You can see it here in one of my very first posts about how Morgan thought I was nuts in a box for painting our piano green. Â Oh, well. Â I’ve accepted that I see things differently than he does. Now, if he would just accept it, we’d be magically transported to another dimension where puppies and kittens and unicorns reign.
Psych. Â I found a before picture.
Anyway, I decided I needed another white room, and I painted it Snowbound from Sherwin Williams {like I painted my office here}
If you had told me almost 4 years ago when this blog was born that I would be painting rooms white, I would have laughed with the full force of mah belly right in your face.
Yet. Here we are. Â Tastes change and change is good. So I’m embracing my change of taste. Â Wholeheartedly. Â Are you with me?
Here’s the first post from Instagram:
And here is how it looks now:
Not the best picture, but isn’t HotShot so cute? Â He follows me around all day everywhere I go. Â It’s the epitome of devotion.
I have to work some magic on the piano, though. Â I started sanding it to paint it, but apparently hadn’t prepped it well enough the first time and the green paint started peeling off.
Now, I have this:
Not pretty, huh? Â Don’t worry, though. Â My painting guru, Cassie, gave me the what’s what and I’m going to have this piano singing White Christmas before you know it!
So, what’s going on in your neck of the woods today? Â Sun and fun or rain on the game?
Let me know down in the comments below!
i feel the same way about white paint and my bedroom is about to go white this summer, too. 🙂 i love that it lets the pieces in the room stand out.
and thanks for the shout out!
Oooo.. really! I can’t wait to see!
You’re so welcome! Thanks for your help!
