Today I was taking down some nails so I could put up a Command Strip to hang my apron, and I thought I’d pop in and share this little tip about how to protect your walls when removing nails.
It’s so simple, and you won’t have scratch marks on your wall from the hammer when you are done. I’m so all over that. Â Especially since I just painted my breakfast room.Â
All you need is a plastic spatula, or in my case, a plastic fly swatter!
Instead of just pulling out the nail with your hammer like this:
Pop your plastic spatula or fly swatter over the nail you are pulling out first.
Then grab your hammer and pull.
This will protect your wall from the sharp corners and pressure from the hammer!
I hope you enjoyed today’s quick little tip. Â Have you ever done this?
I am pinning this quick and smart idea. Thanks!
Thanks so much, Elizabeth!
Have a great day! 🙂
